What to Expect at Our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings

Our Sunday morning gatherings start at 10:30 a.m. at The Station.

  • We worship in Word and Sacrament.
A typical Anglican service is split into two parts. The 1st part revolved around the Bible being read and preached. We say prayers, sing songs but most notably we read chunks of scripture together and hear a message that draws out encouragement and application from the Bible text.
The 2nd section of the service leads us to the Lord’s Table, where we receive the Holy Eucharist or Communion together. All believers are invited to the Table to encounter the presence of Christ, receive this sacred meal, and then to be sent into the world to love and serve the Lord.

So, what does that mean for families with children who want to visit HTM?
We gather at The Station for the start of our service at 10:30 am. Once inside, families with children will check them in and put name tags on their child/ren. Then after our opening prayers, our kids’ formation leaders will guide the kids over to our kids’ formation space at Vintage Church. Getting to Vintage is as simple as walking out the door of The Station and heading about 30 feet down a covered walkway. With our kids’ formation leaders closely guiding our youngest disciples, this will be a great time of learning and connecting for all our kids! The kids return for the 2nd part of the service in order to receive Communion with their families.

We Hope You’ll Join Us!
We are inviting people to jump in to this new community, full of people who feel called to serve God and their neighbor through participating in the work of church planting. So if you live in McKinney or know someone who does… if you are ready to roll up your sleeves and use your gifts to help launch a new outpost of the Kingdom of God… if you are up for learning what it looks like to be an Anglican Christian on mission… we would love to connect! OR if you just want to come check out HTM, you are welcome! We would love to have you!

We Know…
We know participating in a church plant isn’t for everyone. It can be messy and uncertain, but it’s also an amazing time to see God clearly and tangibly provide for his people and his mission. God is truly the only one who can plant, grow, and bring to abundant life a new church. We simply get to participate in this vital ministry, into which he has been calling people for thousands of years (see the book of Acts). This is a time when some of the routines and systems of established church are peeled away; the programs and resources are simply not available for people to consume. We get the opportunity to see God meet our needs and provide the abundant life, the “real and eternal life, more and better life than [we] ever dreamed of” (John 10:10, The Message). God has promised us this life. Our prayer is that HTM will be the fertile soil where many will come to know this abundant life of Christ-likeness through Word and Sacrament, formation and mission, through participation in life of God (2 Peter 1:4) and his loving invitation to walk and work with him (Matt. 11:28).  Holy Trinity has been at this for less than a year, it’s early on in this journey and we would love to have you join us!

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me, get away with me and you’ll recover your life.
I’ll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me, and work with me—watch how I do it.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.
I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.
